        Cates (Clean Skin from Within) a naturopathic physician, presents a program to harmonize hormones and restore radiance to the body. She says that following the seasons and modifying routines accordingly will help one achieve good health. The keys are food, movement, mindset, and skin care. Introductory chapters discuss hormones and endocrine-disrupting chemicals, the role of bacteria in the body, the neurotransmitters mood and memory, and the importance of nutrition and sleep. The author then provides chapters about each season and appropriate food, exercise, skin care, and mindset activities, such as mediation, journaling, and breath work. There are menu plans and recipes for both food and skin care products. A resource guide with many references to her personal website and a bibliography of professional literature offer more information.
