Julia Wright couldn’t be more content with her job at the local library, nestled in placid, picturesque Serenity Falls. Until her wacky mother, petty-thief sister, and little niece “Toni the Biter” decide to crash her quiet party of one . . . and a new guy roars into town on his Harley, shaking up more than just the books on her shelves.

Luke Maguire never thought he’d set foot back into the dull town where he'd spent his youth. But when his abusive father dies, he’s forced to return and take care of the family bar. While trying to get the people of Serenity Falls to lighten up a little, he makes an unlikely alliance with a feisty librarian, whose pages he’d really like to turn. The battle lines are being drawn and Luke may have an uphill fight on his hands, but he's determined to come out on top, tempting this good girl to be very bad.

When bad boy Luke Maguire rides back into peaceful Serenity Falls, PA, on his Harley and zeroes in on responsible-to-a-fault librarian Julia Wright at the town festival, the electricity that sizzles between them warns her that things are about to change. Then her New Age mother, larcenous sister, and four-year-old niece with a penchant for chomping on people arrive, broke and looking for a place to stay, and it's a sure bet that Julia's love life isn't the only thing that will be different. Sexy, sassy, and graced with exceptional dialog, this fast-paced story is both hilarious and heartwarming, featuring wonderfully wacky secondary characters and well-developed protagonists you will come to love. With this delightful breakout debut, veteran series romance author Linz ("The Marine and Me") has penned a winner that will leave readers smiling long after they have turned the final page. Linz (herself a librarian) lives in Northern Illinois.

All librarian Julia Wright wants is a little peace and quiet. Unfortunately, any dreams she might have of a serene new life in the small town of Serenity Falls are firmly shattered the day a sexy stranger roars into town, and her wacky family shows up for an extended visit. Julia's bad-boy biker turns out to be none other than Luke Maguire, who left Serenity Falls after high school, but who is now back in town, determined to do his best to shake up Julia's quiet existence. Dealing with her New Age mother, Angel; her wild-child sister, Skye; her four-year-old niece, "Tony the biter"; and the two llamas who are now part of the family leaves Julia with very little time for a tall, dark, and handsome distraction like Luke, but Julia is about to discover that sometimes even good girls need to take a walk on the wild side. Linz deftly seasons her writing with her usual delectable wit, and the book's quirky cast of endearing secondary characters adds another measure of humor to this sweetly sexy, fabulously fun contemporary romance.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2005, American Library Association.)
