Burney, a man in his early thirties, courts his former female manager Angela, a woman of about the same age, who is a workaholic and a dedicated feminist. She likes him, but the difference in social status made her hesitant to accept his advances. In a lovely fall day, confronting her in Toronto downtown, Burney convinces her to take a break in her stressful job and travel with him to Paris just as a companion, not a lover. She agrees on an impulse. Immersed in a charming autumn of Paris, removed from her familiar routine of life, she became her own self. Through funny, romantic events and interesting encounters with different people, she discovers a lot about herself, about Burney, and about superior value of love over all other considerations.
